Recalled Products Originally Sold By Meijer Found to Have Been Resold By Discounters After Recall Date

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers that certain recalled products, originally sold at Meijer, Inc., were resold after the recall date due to an error. These recalled products were improperly disposed of by offering them for sale at discount retailers, dollar stores, liquidation firms, flea markets and thrift stores nationwide at various prices. The recalling firms listed below fully complied with the negotiated terms of their original recall.

Consumers should stop using these recalled products immediately and contact the recalling firms listed below to participate in their individual recall programs. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Price Chopper Supermarkets Recalls Streusel Topped Fruit Pies (Mon, 05 Mar 2012 12:19:00 -0500) Price Chopper Supermarkets is issuing a voluntary recall on its Price Chopper Bakery five and eight inch Apple, Blueberry, Cherry, and Peach Streusel Pies due to the streusel topping containing eggs, an allergen that was not listed on the ingredient label. Other than this labeling issue, the product is safe for consumption for those not allergic to eggs.
